I made another custom leather tool pouch. But... this one is pretty nice! I based the general design on a low cost crossbody EDC bag I saw someone wearing at work. Yea just bought one, probably going to have to just take it back after watching this not worth the investment
Nice work bro
This helps a lot
Thank you for showing yourself soldering the wires together
Hola tengo una pregunta cómo reparar la parte de los juguetes giratorio y la musica en ese mismo modelo
No worth it,I just used it and the blades broke very easily
Animo y un chido DIA se un buen ser humano se feliz
Thank you, my father had a problem with switch but now know what was the problem ❤
Do you use SQ (thin) or MQ (medium) CA glue?
Way too fast!
Great pouch and great video bro!!!Thank you GOD bless🙏🏽
Yep,yes,and gotta try it.
Nice nails.
crappy design
Where do I find the pattern instructions
Great video. Curious about what is in the little tub, is that glue?
What would you say is the total investment in hours and meterials?
Thanks for vid
Was that tattoo on your hand something else? Me inside these four walls perhaps?
Thanks!
This is awesome! I would like to make one myself. Where can I get the some of the materials and tools you had in the video?
Tandy leather and Weaver Leather both have tools, leather and other supplies. They both offer premium as well as economy lines of tools. Amazon has some very affordable tools... the less expensive stuff doesn't last as long or work as well as the higher priced stuff... but that is true no matter where you shop.
Thank you for the video mine did the same thing so it's a common thing
I can't be the only person that can't watch this type of videos with no spoken words. youtube please stop suggesting this type of lazy content.
Finally, somebody making something out of wood without a banjo in the background thank you nice work by the way

Thank you !
Easy, quick, useful!
Thank you very much. Exactly what I was looking for! (couldnt switch off the engine any more....)
Did you use the capacitor?
Can anyone recommend a Hollow Hole punch that doesn't leave a burr on the exit side of MYLAR? Plus what base could you recommend to help stop the burring. I would be really grateful of any advice. Thanks for sharing the video 👍😷👍
Omg worthless video, just need to replace the blades
Why o why do you put that stupid noise or so called music on with video?
How can I open the other model
Theyre good but you using them wrong thats why they dont last for most people
if you don't have any bailing wire, cut up a wire hanger into three pieces, loop an end so they fit into the attachment.
Thanks 😊
what thickness is the leather you used?
I think it was 5-6oz...
Leather worker here. I just made insoles for my boots from some really thick leather I have had for 20 years and I really like the feel in my boots. I used leather for the breathability and feel. I also know once they are used up they will biodegrade. I actually like the smooth feel of the non grain side on my feet, it makes the boots easer to get on and off. I also am not use to gel insoles so going to the leather was more pleasant to me.
I made some from 4mm veg tanned leather I purchased via Amazon. I used the heel cups from some old Superfeet Black inserts for the heel shape and arch support. A different feel to my gel insoles in my otherwise leather - lined hiking boots but I'm enjoying the more precise feel, and comfort seems better than the Superfeet Green I used for years. Ultimately, the cost works out about the same as "premium" orthotics so that's fine. I walk a lot.....a lot, so I want my hiking boots to be as bespoke and comfortable as I can make them. Leather insoles are a 'step up' (!) IME.
Great video. Do you think it would be possible to mount a Kydex holster I have already to a rigid sheet of leather like that for added comfort against the body or do you think it's not worth the effort? I'm trying to make this $20 holster as nice and comparable as possible to a $75+ holster with DIY mods and so far I'd say it's rivaling $50-$60 mark. This is all it needs, lol.
You can absolutely do that. Might be tricky depending on the design of your existing holster. The leather backplate is comfortable. It will prevent the holster from slipping around when worn IWB. But, it gets a little sweaty. There are pros and cons to all designs.
As in another video the start switch gets full of sawdust?! and either stops working or burns out, I find it crazy that they don't make a sealed switch.
Um, my understanding is, since it is not a hardened blade but made of annealed steel, is to bevel the blade at a 45º angle with a mill file (as a file will not work on hardened steel - which is also a quick way of testing to see what kind of treatment you've got on a blade, plane iron, chisel, etc.), de-bur the back with light file pressure and then use a honing steel like you would for a card scraper and create a light bur towards the back (away from the bevel) of the blade. To use, insert the blade with the bevel facing in on the clamping side until it touches the bench then clamp it in. The scraper's shavings are adjusted with the screw adjuster on the other side which is the side that faces away from the cut when scraping. (Just like when using a card scraper, the convex bow is always facing in the direction of the cut - not away. (Using the belt sander is a great idea, but when using a magnet to flatten either the front or back, be sure to always use one like you did. [A welder's magnet I believe] which is strong enough. Otherwise it could suddenly become a very dangerous and sharp projectile in the shop. A shop vacuuming before using it for flattening any metal would be a really, really good idea. Even if you have fire insurance.) My number 80 is of a similar vintage but was in better shape when I got it so I feel no need to do a complete restoration on it. However, Your's looks very nice. Too bad it is a very poorly understood tool which is a shame, as there are things it does better than a card scraper, especially when it comes to larger surfaces; knots and/or wild grain, etc. I hope you've enjoyed it in the interim since you posted this.
Two beers in - love it!! Thanks for the video, had the exact same problem, appreciate you taking the time to make this!
Dude! I am super impressed!! I am totally making this. You rock!!
Thanks
Although this video is 7 yrs old I do appreciate GP Woodworks made it since there are none others like it explaining how to put this on without remove the first part because mine would not come off!! Thanks!!
That was not the proper way of putting on this attachment. It will work, but I’ve always used this attachment from my Ryobi to my 4cc Echo. It literally takes less then 5 mins to put on
Thanks for this demonstration! Great info all around.
Well done! Both the video and of course the tool pouch you made; you're a real pro buddy! Exactly what I was looking for because i'm involved in many different trades (sometimes all on one job) that has me needing to carry a multitude of different tools in my hand held bag. The bag i purchased is nylon but the pockets are all sloppy and don't hold the tools correctly so I plan on making some leather pouches and adding them to the interior of the bag. Great job!
Outstanding.Your video helped me greatly :^) Sat scratching my head looking how to reattach the terminal for ages.Crazy how flimsy this vital part is! Many thanks,Sir.
I spent a half hour looking for the terminal I thought I launched across the shop which was nonexistent..
How do you remove the red switch and replace it? mine snapped and broke off because my neighbor borrowed the saw and kept yanking on it. I can't find any videos on removal and replacement all the videos I have seen are about the wire and the connection.
White lithium has a habit of caking up; I use silicone spray on mine. Nice job, though!
